The friendly cooperation between the EMBERA center and the TUREČEK children’s club was established in 2021. From 2022, we regularly organize friendly meetings of Czech and Turkish families with children who live in the Czech Republic.

Activities on various topics, that take place every second Saturday of the month, are intended for children aged 3-12 years. The common language is Turkish, but it often spontaneously switches to Czech. The program is always adapted to the age of the children, who are divided into smaller groups according to age. Younger children participate accompanied by their parents, older ones are already independent and gradually establish friendships on their own.

The goal of these pleasant meetings of children who grow up bilingual is to establish contacts and create mutual relations in the country that has become their new home for a while. Together under the guidance of Hatice, a native speaker and teacher, the children develop knowledge of Turkish, Turkish culture and traditions. Czech realities are not left out either, which are brought closer to children in the form of games and stories.
