EMBERA English-Czech Education and Leisure Time Center is primarily focused on preschool education. We offer half-day kindergarten attendance, intensive English programs, afternoon English courses and extra activities such as pyjama parties, children’s cooking, weekend and holiday programs.

Foreign languages, international community, friendly, home-like environment and educational programs for kids. At our center we teach and communicate in English and Czech. We do not use any textbooks in our morning programs and we focus on natural and spontaneous language learning. In addition, we provide healthy meals for kids.

During our afternoon language courses, we use textbooks recommended by experts and always combine lessons with activities that are relevant and attractive to the children. Thanks to this combination, students spontaneously communicate in English with no fear or feeling that they are making mistakes. We are aware that at the age of 2-6 years, children can perceive the maximum amount of information. Based on this simply and naturally acquired knowledge, children can build on the next path to future education. We love to develop their potential and make their life easier and more colourful.

What we offer

Morning English-Czech Kindergarten

The capacity of the morning nursery is 18 children. The low number of children allows teachers to work closely with each child and attend to their specific needs. We combine individual and group education, to make sure that children are constantly socializing. Our aim is not only to care for children, but also to develop their abilities and skills. The English-Czech program focuses on natural language learning in a playful and spontaneous way. Czech native speakers communicate with children in Czech, English native speakers communicate with children in English. Thus, our students learn both languages ​​very quickly. Kids have the gift to perceive, use and understand several languages ​​at the same time without major problems. They absorb knowledge without any obstacles just as “sponges” do – simply and automatically. Everything that children learn at this age follows them into adulthood and helps with subsequent education.

A wide range of diverse activities led by an enthusiastic team of lecturers, help the children develop. The friendly environment is an ideal place for children to socialize. Because of the international community, kids can easily get in touch with different cultures. Children have a unique opportunity to communicate with their friends in foreign languages ​​on a daily basis. As well as the opportunity to explore the world in a wider context and are thus led to respect and tolerance towards other children and adults.

The morning program is designed for children aged 2.5-6 years.

PROGRAM: We offer a full week attendance (5 days), as well as selected days during the week (minimum 3 required). Selected days can be changed by parents. The morning program is designed thematically and includes sports, dance, graphometry activities, art and other creative exercises. A daily outdoor stay with a combination of daily activities is ideal for children’s versatile development. We provide healthy snacks and lunch.

Intensive English Course

The morning intensive course, tailor-made, is an attractive way of teaching English. The program is mainly designed for preschool children. Students aged 4-6 years once every 14 days from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm spend their morning learning English. Four 45-minute blocks with a native speaker allow children to get a taste of the English world. Not only answering, learning, perceiving, playing, but especially thinking in English. That’s our goal. A group of maximum 6 children allows for an individual approach towards each student.

Intensive classes are conducted in a non-traditional manner. We use Cambridge University Press study materials in combination with classical children’s literature, outdoor activities, visits to cultural sites, and activities related to learning specific subjects. The program is designed to allow children to use English in everyday situations while also having the opportunity to learn and discover general knowledge.

Standard English Courses

In the afternoon we run our standard English language courses. Classes take place once a week for 45 minutes. The lessons are led by experienced lecturers, native speakers or lecturers with perfect knowledge and experience of English. Students are divided into groups according to age groups. Teaching (actual theme, vocabulary, sentences, reading, listening) takes place according to age.

DUCKIES (children born in 2016 and the second half of 2017), FROGS (children born in 2015), MONKEYS (children born in 2014 and 2013), HEROES (children born in 2012, 2011 and 2010). There is a maximum of 8 children per group. We accept children from 2.5 to 18 years. For teaching we use tested and highly recommended study materials published by Oxford and Cambridge University Press. Due to the division of lessons into story sections, we enroll students during the whole school year.

Teaching once a week, homework, listening and entertainment projects motivate students to continue their studies. Our goal is to make the children feel good, leave happy, full of enthusiasm and look forward to the next day in our center. The children are gradually preparing for Cambridge exams starting at the beginner level.

Extra Activities

In addition to our standard program and courses, we offer a wide range of extra activities.

On Friday evenings we organize pyjama parties for children with overnight stay. Parents can enjoy an evening with friends and rest on Saturday morning. These events start on Friday evening and end on Saturday before noon. There is always a program for the evening and morning, children are kept busy at all times. We provide dinner and healthy breakfast.

During the weekends, most often on Saturdays, we organize intensive English programs. An unconventional form of teaching in an interesting environment, created in such a way that students can test the acquired knowledge in practice. These weekend programs are often not only for children, but according to subjects are a combination of PARENT + SON / DAUGHTER lessons.

We also regularly plan cooking in English, theaters, creative mornings, weekend or holiday English programs and much more.

These activities take place at least once a month and are intended for children from 3 years.

Babysitting

If parents need to take care of business or are unexpectedly busy in the mornings and it is not an option for the kids to tag along, we are here to help. Our staff will provide babysitting directly in our center. We will look after children between ages 2.5 and 6 at any time between 8:00 – 13:00 (the minimum babysitting time is 2 hours). To guarantee a place, we encourage parents to book babysitting 24 hours in advance.
